Klipsch HD Theater 500 Review - Users Review

I actually have owned this 5.1 speaker system for 2 weeks. I actually have them connected to a Denon AVR-790 receiver. I am thrilled with the results - although I have an unconventional setup.

This is my initial surround sound system, and suffice to say, I was overwhelmed with the numerous 5.1 choices between the Home Theater In A Box and all the individual receivers with separate speaker systems. However, I'm not a newbie to great sound. I could join the AARP if I needed to!

Anyways, I finally pulled the trigger and purchased the Klipsch 500 when many months of analysis online and hearing them at my native electronics warehouse store. The store gave me an offer I could not refuse.

My needs were that I required smaller speakers for the decor and the shortage of house. The Klipsch five hundred fit the bill. Moreover, the 8 inch powered subwoofer is additional than enough ooomph for TV, music, and films. A nice thunder!

My center speaker rests on the TV stand in front of the LCD TV on the Klipsch equipped rubber mat to carry it in place. It's inconspicuous and will the task of keeping the center speaker stationary. I purchased a pair of inexpensive speaker stands for the two front speakers.

I mounted the 2 rear speakers "in the "kitchen" on the other wall that the TV is on. I appreciate that the satellite speakers all come with plastic adjustable wall mounts that you'll be able to position toward your ears. I required the mounts to position the rears horizontally at eight feet on top of the floor pointing toward the chairs. I ran my rear speaker wires beneath the floor within the crawl area to hide them. That helps!

The solely negative comment I even have on the Klipsch 500 is the plastic spring-clip connectors on the back of the speakers. It does seem cheap - and not in an exceedingly sensible method. I took off a star on my rating for the features as a result of of that. However they are doing hold my eighteen guage wire simply fine. Conversely, I bought and used banana plugs to attach the other finish of the speakers to my Denon receiver. That may be a more secure affiliation. Nevertheless it is the sound I was when and the connections simply needed to attach. All of them do.

I used the easy-to-use Audyssey auto-setup that came with my Denon receiver to balance the sound and voila! Instant home theater! Okay, thus it took a little longer than a moment, but the results are simply amazing.

Consequently, after two weeks of being attentive to the sweet sounds of 5.1 I would not hesitate to suggest the Klipsch 500 to anyone who needs crisp, clear, and big sound! I love em! I extremely love them!
